ther is a golf shop near me that will custom fit golf clubs by my swing and by measurments. but they are not name brand clubs the guy told me that they were made in the same factory just doesn’t have the name on them so they can be sold cheaper they want 179.00 for steel shafted irons 3- pw and that is fitted to me is it worth it. iam not about the name but iam about quality

      While I’ve never played “clones,” I have played and recommend the “Snake Eyes” line from Golfsmith and the “Maltby” line from Golfworks. Both of these companies design and manufacture their own golf clubs and golf club making components. They have their own designs and they also do a pretty good job of utilizing the latest in golf club design, trends and manufacturing methods.

      There are also a number of other companies that specialize in “custom” equipment. Some of the companies make an outright attempt to re-create (”clone”) the latest clubs from other major name brands. And others operate similarly to the two companies mentioned above.

      Prior to buying any clubs, I do recommend that you get fitted by a competnent professional for the best results .
